On Saturday, April 5, 2014, DCG’s Jerry Matranga co-presented a workshop at the California Association of School Business Officials (CASBO) annual Conference & School Business Expo. Jerry presented along-side Marilyn Cleveland, Attorney at Law with Dannis Woliver Kelley, and Brianna GarcÃa and Suzanne Speck, Director of Management Consulting Services and Associate Vice President (respectively) of School Services of California, Inc. The workshop, titled “21st Century Schools: The Role of the CBO,” provided a roadmap for CBOs on how to position their school for the 21st century: encompassing connectedness, technology, facilities, and sustainability to support and enhance a school’s educational goals.
DCG is happy to announce that the workshop was very well recieved. We are providing a link to the summary handout in hopes that it will assist CBOs who didn’t have the opportunity to attend the conference so that they are better able to understand what a “21st Century School” is and what steps they need to take to transform their existing school facilies.
