EMQ FamiliesFirst provide services to approximately 20,000 at-risk children and families throughout more than 30 counties in California annually. Providing mental health and supportive services that help children and youth with severe emotional, social, and behavioral needs, the agency’s mission is to “do whatever it takes to help children, strengthen families, build community, and advocate for system change to ensure that families thrive.“
Dutra-Cerro-Graden has made a donation to EMQ FamiliesFirst so to help provide summertime opportunities that will ensure children in their care have increased awareness of the healthy community leisure resources available to them and to link them to those resources by helping remove barriers of access such as transportation, fees, and lack of knowledge and support. The planned day trips will have an incredible impact on the participants by motivating and inspiring them to take an interest in the broader world around them.
