The Oakland Unified School District is a public education school district that operates about 86 elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools and 32 district-authorized charter schools in Oakland. The District owns property known as Edward Shands Adult Education Center (“Shands”), located at 2455 Church Street, Oakland, CA, 94605 (the “Property”). The Property is comprised of three parcels: APNs: 39-3272-36, 39-3273-21-3, and 39-3273-14. The District is currently seeking proposals from qualified proposers for a long-term ground lease of the Shands site.
