Recognizing the critical connection of teacher quality and satisfaction with academic success, CAAASA will be presenting a special session on Workforce Housing: an innovative solution aimed at recruiting and retaining quality teachers.
In California, one of the biggest drivers of teacher turnover is the increasing cost of housing. Drawing on its history of working with school districts across the state, DCG will join the panel to share strategies to create affordable housing options for teachers so California’s strongest teachers stay in California. Landis Graden of DCG will moderate this panel of educators who are pioneering workforce housing. He will be joined by Dr. Judy White, Superintendent of Riverside County Office of Education, Dr. Ayinde Rudolph, Superintendent of Mountain View Whisman School District, Barbara Christensen, Retired Senior Executive of San Mateo Community College District and Leah Denman, Senior Project Manager, K-12 Advisory Services of DCG Strategies.
The Panel will present at CAAASA’s Annual Professional Development Summit on March 14, 2018.
