Thank You to Participants of the RCRI Conference

Dominic Dutra, Alan Cerro, and Concetta Lewis of Dutra Cerro Graden were recently privileged to attend the Resource Center for Religious Institutes (RCRI) national conference in Anaheim, California. We participated in informative and valuable sessions that deepened our understanding of the issues and challenges facing religious orders today, and we met creative individuals engaged in addressing these challenges.

ConferenceAt our booth in the exhibitor’s hall, we had the great pleasure of talking with attendees, presenters, and fellow exhibitors. Again and again, we were moved and impressed by the efforts of dedicated individuals who are struggling with issues such as an aging membership and facilities and declining sources of revenue. We were also confirmed in our belief that such challenges are often the opportunity for great vision, creativity, and a rethinking of the possibilities of community.

We were heartened by the response to our company’s mission and service offering. It is clear that communities are looking for a strategic partner who appreciates their values and recognizes that decisions about property are always decisions about legacy and mission. Our partnership with Sisters of the Holy Family in Fremont, California has proven that long-term financial sustainability, invigoration of the mission and the care of the most vulnerable members of the community can be achieved through a comprehensive and creative strategic and campus master planning process.

We want to thank the participants of the RCRI conference who shared their stories and their wisdom with us. We were inspired and look forward to continuing these enriching and generative conversations. We are positive we can work together to achieve practical expressions of mission for the good of our world.
